| In Internet Explorer 7, you may get an error
when connecting to the VLE and so you cannot get to the
download certificate link as shown on the following
image.

If you get this error then click on the
cream coloured message bar just above the yellow St Gregorys
Logo and choose Display Blocked Content.

You should then be prompted to log on to the
VLE.
Log on using the username and password that
you use in school on the school PCs.

This will log you on to the VLE and allow
the access to the download certificate link at the bottom of
the light blue area under Help.

You now need to click on Download
Certificate.
In some cases you may get the following
error, which is caused because you have a setting that needs
to be changed in IE7.

To fix this setting, click on tools and in
the menu that appears click on internet options.

This will open the internet options window.
Click on the Advanced tab and scroll down to
the security section.
Here you will find an option called
Do
not save encrypted pages to disk.

This box needs to have a tick in it, so
click the box to put a tick in and click on ok at the bottom if the internet
options window to save the changes.
You now need to try and download the
certificate again by clicking on the Download
Certificate text on the VLE page.
When prompted, click on save to save the certificate.
The default location is fine as this is only
stored temporarily while you install the certificate.

Click on Save.
After the download of the certificate is
complete, you are prompted to open the certificate.
Click on open.

The Certificate will now open.

Click on Install Certificate.
The Install Certificate wizard will now
start.
Follow the install certificate wizard using
all default settings and on completion of the wizard the certificate will
have been downloaded and installed.
The error should not occur any more.
