Welcome from the Headteacher

Dear visitor,

Thank you for taking the time to view our school website, a window into the life of the community of St. Gregory’s Catholic High School.

I am extremely proud to lead a school with such a wonderful ethos, spirit and unique community and family atmosphere where the whole child is valued and the balance between academic success and the development of being a good person is of equal importance.

Everything we say and do at St Gregory’s is in the name of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit and this is the foundation our success is built upon.  Our priority as a school community is that all who work and learn here serve their community in the way that we have been taught by Jesus.

The pupils and staff of St Gregory’s play a fundamental role in the everyday lives of our community and everyone is encouraged to use the gifts that they have been blessed with to the best of their ability and stand out from the crowd.

St Gregory's offers places to all of our local Catholic partner primary schools, but we also serve the community as a whole and there are places available to children from our non-catholic partners too.  We are proud to welcome children from a wide range of primary schools in the area.

The pupils of St Gregory’s are sought after by all of the top colleges, universities and employers due to their academic success but they are also recognised as well rounded individuals who make a positive impact on their community.

We are enjoying a period of great success and the opening of brand new teaching, technology and sports facilities and we look forward to welcoming you to be part of our journey, whether you are a new pupil, current pupil, parent or visitor to our school ‘family’.

See you soon,

Ed McGlinchey
