Anti-Bullying Week 2020

Currently, the Y7-10 teams are working on a project sending cards to a local care home in order to spread some cheer and love to the residents.  Many pupils have sent messages to put into the cards such as 'We just wanted to let you know that we are thinking about you and we hope everyone is safe during this time of year.  We hope you everyone is safe during this time of the year.  We hope you like our card that we made.  From the Anti-Bullying Team'

Anti-Bullying Week  November 16th - 20th, 2020

During Anti-Bullying Week, we launched our Positive Footprint Awards, which involved sending over 100 awards out to pupils, staff, family and members of our wider community.  Years 7,8 and 9 also took part in a Personal Development session, where pupils looked at examples of hate crime and what to do if they were faced with a similar situation.

Feedback from the teams on the Positive Footprints Project

A survey was sent out to pupils asking whether they felt bullied, the data was analysed, followed by a discussion of the results with pupils.  1.46% of pupils felt that they were being bullied.

The English Department set Year 7 a challenge to write a poem on the theme of bullying.
